GRAND TOURISMO
OFFSHORE

Built for the open sea. Made for long days on it.

Most 45-foot cruisers are designed for sunny afternoons and calm bays. The Maldivia 45 Grand Tourismo is designed for the passage in between. It is based on the proven hull of the Maldivia 45, a fast ferry built for the monsoon seas of the Maldives, and adds a refined two-cabin interior with ocean-going range. The result is a yacht that keeps you comfortable when the wind picks up, and carries you further than most boats in its class.

Proven at sea before it was a yacht

The Grand Tourismo shares its hull with the Maldivia 45 ferry, and that hull has already proven itself. In sea trials in October 2026, the ferry held 28 knots in 0.5–1 metre waves and 27 knots in 1–1.5 metre waves. In 1-metre waves it did not slam, and the captain never had to throttle back.

The long waterline reduces pounding, and the deep-V entry cuts through waves rather than riding over them. Extra buoyancy in the bow keeps the nose up in following seas. The Grand Tourismo is designed to meet CE Category A, the standard for ocean-going yachts. Most 45-foot cruisers are certified to Category B, for offshore waters.

Comfort where it matters

On most cruisers, the guest cabin sits under the cockpit, at the back of the boat. On the Grand Tourismo, it sits midships and low in the hull, in the space the ferry uses for luggage. This is the part of any boat that moves least at sea, so your guests sleep where the ride is calmest.

A gyro stabiliser reduces roll at anchor and underway, and automatic interceptors keep the boat level as speed and load change. Joystick docking makes tight marinas easy, even for a crew of two. Air conditioning and a large lithium battery bank let you spend quiet nights at anchor without running the generator. We are targeting less than 65 dB in the saloon at cruising speed, so you can talk at normal volume while underway.

Layout

Owner's cabin: Forward, with an island double bed, generous storage and a private head with a separate shower.

Guest cabin: Midships, with a double or twin beds, in the calmest part of the boat.

Deck saloon: A bright coupé with the galley, the helm and a dining area that converts to an extra berth. Sliding side doors and an opening roof bring the outside in.

Side decks: Full walkaround decks with high bulwarks, so moving forward is safe even at sea.

Cockpit: A U-shaped sofa around a table, an outdoor grill and shade from the hardtop.

Swim platform: Hydraulic, lowering into the water for swimming and lifting the tender when you are underway.

Power and range

Standard: twin diesel inboards, 2 × 260 hp. The Grand Tourismo cruises at 25 knots and reaches a top speed of about 30 knots. On its 2,500-litre tank, fully loaded, it covers about 900 nautical miles at cruising speed with a 10% reserve, enough to cross from Mallorca to Sardinia and back twice without refuelling. At 20 knots, the range grows to about 1,150 nautical miles. With no outboards on the transom, the swim platform stays free for swimming and the tender.

Performance: twin diesel inboards, 2 × 520 hp. For owners who want to cover distance quickly, with a top speed of about 40 knots.

Outboard version: Up to 120 HP with 2 outboards.

Hybrid option: An electric mode for silent arrivals in harbours and anchorages.

Strength without weight

The Grand Tourismo is built from epoxy prepreg composites, the materials of offshore racing yachts. Its structure was developed with finite element analysis: two longitudinal stringers and six bulkheads spread the loads evenly across the hull. Every laminate is reduced to what it needs to carry, so the boat is strong where it counts and light everywhere else. Less weight means less fuel, more range and a livelier response to the helm.
