WELL PEPARED

FOR ANY KIND OF HARBOR
Where Others Can't Go, the Maldivia 45 Docks

The Maldivia 45 opens up routes that other ferries simply cannot serve. With the ability to enter harbors at just 0.9 meters depth, even the most challenging and shallow waters are no obstacle.

And there's no trade-off in doing so. Propellers and rudders are fully protected against ground contact and rope entanglement — keeping the vessel safe, operational, and out of the workshop.

More ports. More routes. More revenue.

Accessible for Every Passenger. Ready for Every Berth.

The Maldivia 45 is designed to welcome everyone — regardless of mobility or infrastructure. Whether docking at a high quay or a low pontoon, boarding is always straightforward and stress-free.

All doors and companionways are fully accessible for standard wheelchairs up to 635 mm wide, ensuring that no passenger is left behind — and no port is out of reach.

Where More Luggage Improves Seaworthiness

The Maldivia 45 turns a logistical challenge into a performance advantage. With a generous 40 kg luggage allowance per passenger and a total storage capacity of 11.2 m³, the vessel is built to handle the demands of real-world ferry operations — islands, resorts, surf destinations and beyond.

What makes the Maldivia 45 truly different is where and how that luggage is stored. All baggage is positioned at the deepest point of the vessel, meaning the more luggage on board, the lower the centre of gravity — and the more stable and seaworthy the ferry becomes. More bags don't create a problem. They solve one.

A Patented System Built for Speed and Reliability

At the heart of the luggage system is our patented floating floor technology — a belt-based conveyor made from ultra-robust Dyneema fabric running on a PTFE-coated floor. Loading is fast, smooth and front-accessible, cutting turnaround times at every stop.

The system handles up to 40 standard checked bags (810 × 510 × 360 mm) on the central belt, with six additional oversized bays at the front offering a further 3 m³ of capacity. Surfboards, bikes and other long items can be stored along the sides, accommodating items up to 2.4 m in length.

Reliability is built in too. Should the belt system ever require attention, all luggage remains fully accessible through four large service hatches — keeping operations running without disruption.

Cool, Quiet and Always On.

The Maldivia 45 features a full-length roof-integrated air conditioning system with two large cold air supply channels running the entire cabin — delivering individually adjustable airflow directly above every seat row, just like a modern commercial aircraft.

Every passenger controls their own comfort. Every row stays cool. Every journey becomes more pleasant — regardless of the heat and humidity outside.

The Right Equipment for the Marine Environment

The Maldivia 45 specifies CTM Marine self-contained air conditioning units — widely regarded as the most reliable marine AC systems on the market. CTM builds exclusively for the maritime industry, and it shows in every detail:

  • Titanium coils for supreme corrosion resistance

  • Corrosion-resistant drainage pans

  • Fully sealed electronics

  • Stainless steel fixings throughout

  • Quiet yet powerful operation

  • Designed for straightforward maintenance

The straight composite air channels that distribute cooling throughout the cabin are not only highly efficient — they are easy to clean and built to last in the harshest marine conditions.

Always On. Always Cool.

Passenger comfort doesn't stop when the engines do. A whisper-quiet onboard generator ensures the air conditioning runs continuously — whether the vessel is underway, moored at a jetty or riding at anchor. Passenger comfort is never dependent on the main engines running.

And when reliability matters most, redundancy is built in. Two independent CTM units ensure that even if one system requires attention, the cabin stays cool without interruption. No compromises. No sweating it out.

This is a standard of climate comfort rarely seen on a vessel of this class.
