CENTER CONSOLE
Reach the fish first. Fish longer. Run home in comfort.
The Maldivia 45 Center Console is an offshore fishing boat built on the hull of the Maldivia 45, a fast ferry designed for the monsoon seas of the Maldives. It is lighter than comparable 45-foot center consoles, so it needs less power and less fuel for the same speed. And it holds its pace in rough water, where other boats have to slow down.
A proven offshore hull
The Center Console shares its hull with the Maldivia 45 ferry, which has already proven itself at sea. In trials in October 2026, the ferry held 28 knots in 0.5–1 metre waves and 27 knots in 1–1.5 metre waves, on just two 250 hp outboards. In 1-metre waves it did not slam, and the captain never had to throttle back.
The long waterline reduces pounding, and the deep-V entry cuts through waves instead of riding over them. Extra buoyancy in the bow keeps the nose up when running down-sea. For anglers, this means a faster run to the grounds when the forecast is less than perfect, and a dry, safe ride home. With a draft of less than 0.9 metres, the boat can also reach shallow flats and harbours that deeper boats cannot.
Built for serious fishing
Bow. Forward seating that converts into a raised casting platform, with storage below.
Livewells. Two 50-gallon (190-litre) livewells with full circulation, keeping bait lively on long days offshore.
Fish boxes. Large insulated fish boxes in the deck, draining overboard.
Tackle centre. Aft of the helm, with a bait prep station, sink, cutting board, tackle drawers and freezer.
Rod storage. More than 30 rod holders, in the gunwales, on the hardtop and in the console.
Dive door. In the side of the hull, for landing big fish, boarding swimmers and diving.
Options. Tuna tower with upper helm station, outriggers and electric reel outlets.
Comfort between the bites
Inside the console there is a cabin with a double berth, an enclosed head with a shower, and air conditioning. It is a place to rest on a long day offshore, change out of wet gear, or stay overnight at a remote anchorage.
The helm has three 22-inch screens, three-across helm seats with bolsters, and a hardtop with integrated lighting and rod storage. A gyro stabiliser is available to reduce roll while drifting or trolling, and joystick docking makes it easy to bring the boat alongside in a tight marina.
Power, speed and range
The hull is designed for two engines, which keeps the transom clean and the weight low. Because the boat weighs only about 8 tonnes fully loaded, two engines deliver speeds that heavier boats need three or four to reach. That means lower fuel bills and less maintenance on every trip.
Standard: twin outboards, 2 × 450 hp. A top speed of about 42 knots and a comfortable cruise of 35 knots.
Performance: twin outboards, 2 × 600 hp. For owners who want the fastest run to the canyons, with a top speed of about 48 knots and a cruise of up to 40 knots.
Diesel: twin Diemmax S6 inboards, 2 × 260 hp. A top speed of about 32 knots, an economical cruise of 25 knots, and the longest range of all versions. With the engines below the cockpit floor, the transom stays free for a full-width fishing cockpit. Diesel also means lower fire risk, longer service intervals and fuel that is available in every harbour.
Diesel performance: twin Diemmax V12 inboards, 2 × 520 hp. Outboard speed with diesel range: a top speed of about 44 knots and a cruise of 35 knots.
Fuel. A 1,500-litre (400-gallon) tank sits low in the hull between the longitudinal stringers, keeping the weight central and the boat stable. With a 10% reserve, the outboard versions cover about 250 nautical miles at 35 knots. The diesel versions go much further on the same tank, up to about 565 nautical miles with the S6.
Strength without weight
The Center Console is built from epoxy prepreg composites, the materials of offshore racing yachts. Its structure was developed with finite element analysis: two longitudinal stringers and six bulkheads spread the loads from the engines and the sea evenly across the hull. Every laminate is reduced to what it needs to carry, so the boat is strong where it counts and light everywhere else. Less weight means more speed from the same power, longer range and a quicker response to the helm.
